About The Instructor:

Heather Saitz is a professional photographer with over 20 years of experience working in the industy. She studied Photography at Sheridan College and Creative Advertising at Seneca @ York. Heather began her journey in photography at a time when film still reigned supreme and darkrooms were the main post-production method used. Her time at Sheridan College was exclusively film based, including developing film and printing in both B&W and color darkrooms.

Today, Heather’s work is highly stylized, often pushing the boundaries of studio lighting and film aesthetics. Her photography has been published both commercially and editorially across Canada. Now at the helm of her busy namesake company, she provides commercial photography for agencies, brands, corporations, musicians, and artists. She is repped by Sparks Photographers in Toronto.

Heather is a pro in the studio when it comes to lighting (aka “lighting nerd”) and is an avid supporter of the art of photography. She is a previous instructor at the Alberta College of Art & Design (now AUArts) and is the founder of Idle Eyes Collective/Studios.
